If has Type 2 diabetes are mostly obese

If your blood glucose level is higher than a certain amount, you might have diabetes. Diabetes is a disease when your blood sugar level is too high. There are 2 different types of diabetes, Type 1 and 2. Type 1 is when your body does not make any insulin and Type 2 is when your body does not use insulin well (“Diabetes l Type 1 Diabetes l Type 2 Diabetes”).Glucose is a sugar you get from foods and your body uses it to produce energy (“Sources Of Glucose”). Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that assists your body to turn glucose into energy. Insulin can also help on stopping your blood sugar level from getting too high or too low. It can also be stored for future use (“Insulin l Hormone Health Network”).Through reports, it is estimated that 30.3 million people in the world has diabetes, with more having Type 2 than Type 1 diabetes. Also, 90% of people that has Type 2 diabetes are mostly obese (“Diabetes Statistics”). Type 1 diabetes has more serious effect compared to Type 2. To control the blood sugar level if you have Type 1 diabetes, medication for insulin is needed because your body is no longer producing any insulin. Medication of these usually come in injection form or by pump. If you have Type 2 diabetes, medication is sometimes not required but there are also drugs that are available for treatment to stimulate the pancreas to produce more insulin, increasing sensitivity to insulin, decreasing the amount of glucose in your body etc. But if you wish to not take any treatment, exercise and eating a healthy diet is the solution (“Insulin, Medicines, & Other Diabetes Treatments”).Following a healthy diet and being physically active can help you in controlling your blood pressure, blood glucose level, and cholesterol to a normal range. A healthy diet that you should remain if you have diabetes is that you should  limit yourself on what you are eating. Preferably vegetables, fruits, grains, proteins, dairy but only nonfat or lowfat. Try to always avoid eating fried foods or food that are saturated fat or trans fat, high in salt, sweets, baked goods, and beverages with added sugars such as sodas, juice, energy drinks etc. These are the food that makes you gain a big amount of weight and if you continuously eating them with no control or exercise, you will slowly turn obese and that will also lead you to getting diabetes (“Diabetes Diet, Eating & Physical Activity”).  Exercising is also an important part of our lifestyle because it helps you to lose weight or stay at a healthy weight. However, it is recommended that humans should at least have 150 minutes of aerobic exercise every week (“How Much Exercise Do You Really Need?”).Having diabetes for a long period of time can cause you serious health problems. It can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, eye problems, dental disease, nerve damage, foot problems etc (“What Is Diabetes?”). Always be aware of your health by taking medical checkups a few months once. Doing the blood test can test if you have diabetes or not. The normal range of blood sugar level before eating is between 4.0 to 5.9mmol/L; 90 minutes after eating is under 7.8mmol/L (“Normal And Diabetic Blood Sugar Level Ranges”). If your blood sugar level is higher than 7.0mmol/L before eating, and 11.0mmol/L after 2 hours of eating, you probably have diabetes (“Diabetes And Hyperglycemia”).
